THE FARM

THE STORY BEGAN IN 1860

The original farmhouse, built in 1860, sits on 125 acres with a stunning waterfront view. The property includes lush pastures, woods, gardens, ponds, natural springs, and the winding Souadabscook stream. Our farm is a truly special place—many visitors are struck by its beauty and peaceful setting, and we recognize the importance of preserving its history and natural resources. When we acquired the property, we were gifted photos of the farmhouse and barn. A remarkable piece of history was also uncovered beneath the floorboards—an edition of the Northern Border newspaper from October 30, 1875. This incredible find serves as a timeless reminder of the farm’s deep roots and rich heritage, stretching back to the late 19th century.
